Description
- The Schefflera is a tropical houseplant known for its glossy green leaves. The leaves have a broad, oval shape and are in a whorl around the stems. The plant has a bushy appearance and grows in an upright, branched shape. Flowers are rarely found indoors, but in nature the Schefflera has small, white flowers.
- The Schefflera does best in a bright spot with indirect sunlight. It is an ideal houseplant, but can also be placed outside in a warm climate. Make sure the plant is not in direct sunlight, as this can damage the leaves.
- The Schefflera needs moderate water. Let the top layer of the soil dry out before watering again. In summer this can be weekly, while in winter the water requirement is lower and can be every 10-14 days. Avoid overwatering, as this can cause root rot.
