Description
Appearance of the plant: The Calathea Orbifolia is a striking houseplant with large, round leaves that have a silver-green color with striking light stripes. The leaves can grow up to 30 cm and have a velvety texture. This plant is 45 cm high and the pot has a diameter of 17 cm. The Calathea Orbifolia does not produce flowers indoors, but is valued for its decorative leaves.
Location: This plant thrives best in a spot with indirect sunlight or partial shade. Avoid direct sunlight, as this can burn the leaves. Ideal for indoors, at a constant temperature between 18-24°C.
Water requirements: The Calathea Orbifolia likes moist soil, but cannot tolerate standing water. Water the plant regularly, so that the soil remains slightly moist. In the winter, the plant needs less water, but make sure that the soil never dries out completely.
